Lessons from Nana

Here I am writing another blog post during finals week like I said I would. I should be studying but I was given some good advise.

My nana called me earlier today, as she does every Sunday (I am spoiled) and gave me a couple words of wisdom. She first said, "Courtney, don't let little things get you down. When you complain, you are forgetting about all the positive things in your life. When something so small and unimportant is consuming your thoughts, you let go what is actually important. You are so blessed so remind yourself everyday how great your life is." My nana seems to keep me grounded and remind me that life is just so good. She also said something else that I thought was cool. "Mistakes are our teachers. They are good for us. Learn from them." I think that when we make a mistake we beat ourself up, but honestly you can't go back in time. What is the use of thinking "what if?"

Embrace your mistakes, and remind yourself of your blessings, everyday.
