Fashion Emergency, and it Needs an E-vac-u-a-tion

Tis the season of love and bliss! For my single ladies out there, jambo! Who needs a man anyway? It is time to focus on what really matters this season, Gossip Girl and sushi nights! I know it has been a while since I have written, it's been a busy week but it is time for me to explode some thoughts on my leetle blog! The weather is getting warmer and the Santa Ana's are here! Wearing a skirt to school every day doesn't help the constant epidemic of us girls flashing innocent freshman boys! Formal is around the corner and girls are freeking out because they can't find a dress. The problem is that the dresses in store are either from last season or too spring-ish to wear for winter formal! It has become quite a catastrophe. Luckily, I am here to help those who are in need of a dress! Although online shopping has been a hit for some of my friends, the beauty of trying on clothes, experiencing the aroma of the sweet smells of fabric and the sound of clinging hangers has been lost in cyber space. It has also become a hassle if the dress doesn't quite fit!
Here are some advice for formal dress shopping (or dress shopping in general):
1. Go with one (or two) friends. If you bring more than one (or 2), then everyone has a different opinion and you just end up confusing yourself.
2. Don't go in a store that is known for sky rocketing prices. If you fall in love with a dress, then look at the price tag and it is out of your budget, it will only make you muy triste!
3. KNOW YOUR BUDGET!
4. Try going with an open mind, if you have that "one" look you want to go for, and you never find it, it is going to make the whole experience miserable.
5. Stay in your comfort zone. If your dress feels too short or if the bust is too tight, maybe think about a bigger size or style.
6. DON'T follow trends! If you hear that everyone is wearing a tight bandage one shoulder dress, don't do the same! Be different!
7. YOU be the final decision. Ask yourself: How do I feel? Can I work with this color?
8. DON'T stress! It's just one dress of the many you will be wearing in your life! If you can't find one, maybe go to a generous friend that you know has many! I am a victim of this!

I hope all of these steps help you in your decision process! Always note, I am here for advice and assistance! Good luck kitties!
